We are Martin and Natasja, and Ouddorp is not just any place to us. It is in our blood. Martin grew up in Ouddorp from the age of seven. The dunes, the beach, the endless space—these are the places that shaped him as a child. He knows Ouddorp like the back of his hand. Sitting on the beach with friends until sunset, grabbing fries in the town center afterward, and feeling the evening fade away—these are memories that have never left him. For Natasja, the love for this place began through family who lived here. As a child, she cycled through the dunes, walked barefoot on the beach, and tasted exactly what makes Ouddorp so special: freedom, space, and the simplicity of a day by the sea. After years where life took its own course, we rediscovered Ouddorp—together. As a sanctuary. And what a discovery that was. Because Ouddorp has so much more to offer than just the beach and dunes.
We enjoy relaxing with a drink at one of the many cozy beach clubs—a beverage in hand, the sea in front of you, and the sun slowly sinking on the horizon. Or a bike ride to the Brouwersdam, where kitesurfers fly over the water while you enjoy the spectacular view. Afterward, take a stroll through the charming center of Ouddorp—a snack here, a drink there, and that wonderful, relaxed atmosphere you only find at the coast.
With our children, Julia, Lars, Liam, and Finn, we find the peace and space here that daily life so desperately needs. And that is exactly what we wish for our guests as well.
That is why we started Duynhof 4 and Duynhof 7. Not as a business project, but from a sincere desire to let other people taste what we cherish so much. A place where children play outside until it gets dark. Where you sit on the terrace in the evening with a good glass of wine and feel the day slowly fade away. Where you leave after a week with full batteries and a promise to yourself to come back soon.
We are always available for our guests with good advice about the most beautiful spots, the best beach clubs, or a lovely cycling route through the dunes. Because we know Ouddorp like no other.
